I agree about the HBP movie. I mean, I really liked many things about it, but it did feel more like an illustration of the book rather than a movie that stands on its own. It didn't tell a coherent story, it was just filled with scenes that were there just because they were in the book. And it relies way too much on people either having read the books or remembering everything about the previous movies. You really shouldn't be expected to already know the story in order to understand the movie. It's a shame, I thought the movie was visually beautiful and it had a lot of potential - with a decent scriptwriter it might have been really good.
