I never expected it to get any notice any more, seeing as it's completely and entirely AU post OotP and HBP.
Eh, good reads are good reads, and if you know when they were written, it doesn't matter to me if they're AU now. I do enjoy drawing attention to fics that deserve it, which is why I'm a sort of rampant rec-er. (I hate the word 'rec' as I never know how to add suffixes, but that's a bit a tangent...)
I've never written the Sirius/Remus fic to accompany this. Also, I don't really ship Sirius and Remus. I love their dynamics as friends, but I'm not much interested in them as lovers. Go figure.
I was simply curious, as it felt like there were thought processes along those lines being set up in the story--but not necessarily happy-go-lucky puppy-loving ones. ;) I read so much Sirius/Remus that seeing them in fics without a romantic relationship almost startles me and then intrigues me to no end. It's a bit strange, that. There was an interesting dynamic you'd set up there between them that I'd never read before, and which I rather liked.
I asked about Bill because I snuck about and read your HBP thoughts--it was interesting as I had a post like that which deliberately was made before I immersed byself in post-HBP talking. I had noticed you were a bit conflicted in your response to Bill's attack. I'd be quite interested in discussion of him--there really isn't much out there except what is sandwiched into conversations about the 'real' werewolves. :P
And don't apologize for not writing so much! I am quite tempted to burn down the bunny farm once I get done with my Remus/Bill writing (that I'm currently trying not to get overly engrossed in). I'm no 'writer,' I just like JKR's characters, and both regular discussion and fanfic can explore characters in their own way, one or the other being more effective for certain sorts of explorations. I doubt all my fics would have that 'character exploration' vibe though, LOL. ;)
