Re: That "Accidental brushing of groins" thing

Seriously, how likely is it to occur? I keep reading it in fics, but as far as I can tell from my own experience, it's not easy to brush a guy's groin accidentally. Not when pressed against him in a crowd (or, in case of Sirius/Remus fics, in some tiny alcove or other when hiding from Filch), not on a dancefloor, and not when kissing him. (This might be, of course, because most men are somewhat taller than I am, and in order to kiss me they have to bend down, thus bringing their groins out of my reach.) I mean, most people don't deliberately push their pelvises (pelvii?) forward in non-sexual situations, and when bumping into someone, you usually end up pressed against their chest or stomach; the groin is a fairly well protected region.

So, does any of you have different experiences? Am I merely blissfully (and stupidly) oblivious of all those hard-ons that have poked into my stomach over the years? Or does it work better when both partners are roughly the same height?
