It's always about me, me, me, isn't it?

This is what I've just thought after I started to type this post. I was about to tell you all (and anyone else who drives by) that my absence from LJ will probably prolong a little while longer, but then I realised that no-one notices one's absense if one doesn't point it out explicitly (I admit, I rarely do) (Which doesn't mean I don't like you all, I'm just not all that observant). Anyway, I don't have an Internet connection at home at the moment (a rather long moment, I admit), and I can't be bothered to interact with fandom from some public Internet facilities or others (the library, mostly). I still read my f-list religiously every day, but I rarely comment. I also read all received comments religiously, but I often don't answer. The reason for my silence is not my ignoring you; however, I more and more feel that I don't have anything new to contribute, which I why I save my breath (so to speak) and remain silent. As interesting as I find many ideas/concepts/theories/discussions, I don't think that anything I add will give them an interesting new direction.

So, I am still here, but I am lurking around invisibly. I might spam you a bit more with stories of drunken revels with young boys, but even those get tedious after some time. If I owe you a comment, a mail or money, it is nothing personal. Honestly.

I felt I should say that, because I owe plenty of comments, and I don't think I'll ever catch up on them. But believe me, I wouldn't say anything insightful anyway.

<333 Miss you. :)

:-)

It does come across as a cry for attention, doesn't it? It's not mean to be one, honestly.

I don't like that that sentence up there is crossed out!! :P
You know, I'm much more interested in RL and TMI (yeah, that sort of TMI haha) stuff right now anyway, so.. uhh. I actually miss reading about those kinds of things in other people's LJs.

PS: Your life is so exciting!!! ;) No, really! Ah, well, the thing with the police? Not something I'd like to happen to me, heh, but still.. Okay, my life isn't allllll that boring either, but hmmmm.

[identity profile] donnaimmaculata.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 08:05 am (UTC)(link)
Don't you like it because of its contents or because you don't like that it's crossed out? *g*

I am currently more interested in people's RL stuff, too. I usually skim though fandom stuff, but I read RL anecdotes. And TMI, of course. I like TMI.

My life is not all that exciting; I only pick the best bits to post about. (Hm, boys and booze... Oh dear.)

[identity profile] kaysha.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 08:12 am (UTC)(link)
Because it's crossed out, of course!!! ;)

Same here. And lots of people are posting about SGA? SG? SG-something these days. And I don't know that fandom! Hell, I don't even know the canon (and I'm not interested in getting to know it, either..)! So.. yeah. (Ah, I think I know what the abbreviation(s) stand(s) for, but that's about it.)

Donna & boys & booze go together well. :P

I'm unable to cope with one fandom at one time - it'd be impossible to try and manage more than HP.

Donna & boys & booze go together well. :P

Too well, I'm afraid < /gloomy >

I noticed your absence! I don't always comment either, but I was looking thru the flist the other day and hadn't seen you around. Give me a Hagrid smut bunny and I will draw for you....

[identity profile] netbyrd.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 09:58 am (UTC)(link)
For the longest time, I had only the library computer to access HP fanfic and forum sites that I liked to visit. Sometimes it can be really embarassing if you click a link and a picture of two characters humping eachother with no warning. Plus that, it takes forever to respond to comments and you just don't want to waste the time doing that when you don't have access at home where it's much easier.

Your absence was noted!!

[identity profile] cutecoati.livejournal.com 2005-08-10 12:58 pm (UTC)(link)
I noticed you absence, and I'll miss you... *snuggles*

[identity profile] rosina-alcona.livejournal.com 2005-08-11 02:48 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I noticed!

You can always email me the drunken boy-revels if you like!

[identity profile] seventines.livejournal.com 2005-08-11 03:54 am (UTC)(link)
I'm in exactly the same position, so I know how you feel.
Here's hoping we both get it sorted out soon - I've really enjoyed reading your posts :-)

[identity profile] donnaimmaculata.livejournal.com 2005-08-12 04:55 am (UTC)(link)
But even those are getting tedious, my dear! The boys are just not entertaining enough *is fastidious*

[identity profile] donnaimmaculata.livejournal.com 2005-08-12 05:01 am (UTC)(link)
I did read your sporking of Braveheart, though, and was very amused. Even though I didn't comment.

[identity profile] donnaimmaculata.livejournal.com 2005-08-12 05:04 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, thank you very much, Professor. I should have thought you were too busy to take much notice of people's comings and goings on LJ.

[identity profile] donnaimmaculata.livejournal.com 2005-08-12 05:09 am (UTC)(link)
Exactly. It's a viscious circle: I'm unable to interact on a regular basis, therefore unable to reply to all my emails and comments, and therefore, I don't post much, because I don't want commenters to feel neglected. *sighs* And I hardly click on art links these days (and only after checking that no-one's standing behind me). No Internet is teh suck.

[identity profile] donnaimmaculata.livejournal.com 2005-08-12 05:13 am (UTC)(link)
Ooh, thank you! A Hagrid smut bunny? How about Hagrid "mourning" over Aragog? You haven't drawn this pairing yet, have you? And make sure to make Aragog nice and furry.

[identity profile] donnaimmaculata.livejournal.com 2005-08-12 05:35 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, having no Internet sucks. But seeing as I have been repeating myself a lot lately ("blah blah... Remus... blah... Remus... Remus... Remus"), a break might be beneficial ;-)

[identity profile] minervamac.livejournal.com 2005-08-16 08:53 am (UTC)(link)
Not at all, my dear. I cherish all my pupils

[identity profile] frek.livejournal.com 2005-08-20 09:14 pm (UTC)(link)
it's not, i know.

But I just want to let you know that when you do decide to be involved again, I'll be glad to see you. :)

[identity profile] donnaimmaculata.livejournal.com 2005-09-03 02:01 am (UTC)(link)
But they're very pretty ball boys. I haven't felt the urge to read much porn lately. Am I getting old? Ah well.
