My First Trope Bingo Card

I saw [livejournal.com profile] bethbethbeth post hers, and so I thought, Why not? I've never done a bingo challenge before. So here's my first bingo card ever:

holidayfic indecent proposal au: historical bets / wagers chosen family
trapped in a dream marriage road trip sex pollen bodyswap
forbidden fruit mind control FREE

SPACE
rites of passage / coming of age in vino veritas / drunkfic
metafiction locked in role reversal soul bonding / soulmates telepathy / mindmeld
friends to lovers / friends with benefits language and translation au: college / highschool trust and vows wingfic

Thank god I can do them all. I've never done wingfic before (or read one, for that matter), but because I like a challenge, I did not ask to exclude anything, even though I did briefly consider excluding wingfic. Or mpreg.

Let's see how it goes!

I'm sort of sad I didn't get wingfic. :)

[identity profile] donnaimmaculata.livejournal.com 2014-01-02 10:46 pm (UTC)(link)
I honestly considered excluding it, but then I thought, what kind of challenge is that then? Also, what are the chances of it being included? ;-) I'm pretty sure if I end up writing it, it will be pure crack.

I excluded deathfic and royalty AUs (for reasons *g*), but left everything else on the list.

[identity profile] donnaimmaculata.livejournal.com 2014-01-02 11:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Royalty AU? I didn't even know that was on the list. I didn't check the list at all, because, knowing me, I would have ended up considering what to exclude and worry that I can't do half the prompts and then end up doing nothing ;-)

[identity profile] bethbethbeth.livejournal.com 2014-01-02 11:09 pm (UTC)(link)
There were something like 75 options. :)

[identity profile] donnaimmaculata.livejournal.com 2014-01-02 11:10 pm (UTC)(link)
At least half of which I would have found totally intimidating had I checked them beforehand ;-)

Ah, first Beth and now you. Temptation besets me on every side. I may have to go ahead and sign up for this.

[identity profile] donnaimmaculata.livejournal.com 2014-01-02 11:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I signed up for it because of Beth, so it would only be fair if you did it, too.

Brave woman. This is going to be interesting. *g*

And scary! Especially I will end up doing wingfic...

[identity profile] fluffyllama.livejournal.com 2014-01-03 12:12 am (UTC)(link)
I excluded wingfic because I did end up writing that one for round one, and I don't think I can face another one! I think there might only be food porn I need to avoid on my card this time...

[identity profile] donnaimmaculata.livejournal.com 2014-01-03 12:46 am (UTC)(link)
I don't even know how wingfic works. I mean, a character randomly has wings, right?

[identity profile] fluffyllama.livejournal.com 2014-01-03 12:57 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, that's what I went with, it was just a silly one for a flash fic comm last Valentine's Day. I don't know many variations on it because I once accidentally read a fic with feathery wing fondling and ran away screaming *g*.

I'm jealous that you have 'locked in' and 'trapped in a dream'... I don't think that says anything good about my writing urges :D

I have inspiration for a postage stamp one already for mine though. Indecent proposal + presumed dead + handcuffed together + character in distress = right up my street!

And I've got an excellent idea for "trapped in a dream" already! ;-)

On the whole, I think I was given an excellent selection, I really do. I jotted down first ideas for half of them within 20 minutes or so. Of course, the ones that inspired me don't form any bingo-compliant line, but I'm sure I can fill in the gaps somehow...

Your postage stamp sounds utterly fabulous. It's like the randomiser knew what it was doing when it gave you this option.

Ach, tempted...

You shouldn't resist, you know. It looks like quite a few people have signed up, it could be fun!
