Yey!!

#32 - good point
#38 - mastershagger!teenagers - oh yes, I am with you on this one!
#67 - you can never say 'giant willies' too many times
#83 - AHAHAHAHAHA!!! I really must learn these ship names!
#88 - hear, hear.
#97 - *snort* I love that quote!

Oh, am going to have to read your Bellatrix/Remus fic now...

[identity profile] donnaimmaculata.livejournal.com 2005-01-24 07:56 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not sure Dumbbottom exists. But it definitely should.

...giant willies, giant willies, giant willies, giant... *is twelve*

[identity profile] rosina-alcona.livejournal.com 2005-01-24 08:00 am (UTC)(link)
GIANT WILLIES!!!!

Actually, I've changed my mind. There should be MORE giant willies in fanart!

[identity profile] donnaimmaculata.livejournal.com 2005-01-24 08:01 am (UTC)(link)
Including Hagrid and Gwarp's. *runs away*

[identity profile] rosina-alcona.livejournal.com 2005-01-24 08:07 am (UTC)(link)
OH DEAR GOD NO - YOU COME BACK HERE!

I take it back. I take it back!!!

[identity profile] donnaimmaculata.livejournal.com 2005-01-24 08:10 am (UTC)(link)
I started my working day discussing the advantages of foreskin over at [Unknown site tag]'s and am ending it discussing giant willies. Is this the Day of Cock Talk or what?

[identity profile] donnaimmaculata.livejournal.com 2005-01-24 08:12 am (UTC)(link)
And why have I become unable to create LJ tags, eh? [livejournal.com profile] lysrouge's, that's whose.

[identity profile] rosina-alcona.livejournal.com 2005-01-24 08:15 am (UTC)(link)
I spent a while on Lily's LJ yesterday, discussing the fact that we both had our period and it was the full moon.

then I coined the phrase 'were-womb'. I'm not proud. Well yes I am.

So [livejournal.com profile] lysrouge's LJ for random body-part discussions? brilliant.

[identity profile] donnaimmaculata.livejournal.com 2005-01-24 08:19 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, I also shared TMI my opinion on periods with Lily. I wonder what she will come up with next.

You should be proud of the "were-womb". Truly and seriously proud.

[identity profile] rosina-alcona.livejournal.com 2005-01-24 08:21 am (UTC)(link)
i'm considering adding 'has were-womb' to my user info. Or putting it as an interest...

YEY! TMI!

[identity profile] donnaimmaculata.livejournal.com 2005-01-24 08:23 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, you've got to add it! And prod the other proud were-womb owners to do so as well, so that it becomes a popular interest.

Hm, sex TMI is somehow more fun than period TMI...

[identity profile] rosina-alcona.livejournal.com 2005-01-24 08:28 am (UTC)(link)
I've not been having any sex. Or even any dates! So period TMI is all I can come up with.

How about you?

[identity profile] donnaimmaculata.livejournal.com 2005-01-24 08:37 am (UTC)(link)
Hey! I split up with boyfriend two weeks ago and with psychotic hottie one week ago. Now I'm trying to stay out of trouble.

Unfortunately, sense and reason tend to abandon me whenever body gets anywhere near having sex, which, um, does happen on and off. And now, without any boyfriend-related restrictions, I fear trouble this way comes.

But what about Fake!Jeff? Or Fake!Darcy? Aren't they possible candidates?

[identity profile] rosina-alcona.livejournal.com 2005-01-24 09:04 am (UTC)(link)
by the pricking of my thumbs, I'll look forward to the posts about it!

Fake!Jeff - not a peep. But then, I kind of ignored his text, so...

Fake!Darcy - maybe I'll see at some point, but he lives in a different city.

[identity profile] donnaimmaculata.livejournal.com 2005-01-24 09:12 am (UTC)(link)
Remember the story of my limbo-dance induced bump? The same night saw me snogging furiously with a bloke who deserves his own post, really on the floor of an empty classroom. I'm such a teenager, I really am. Pathetic.

But, y'know, Fake!Darcy called you only to tell you that The Sound of Music was on. This does sort of hint that he might be not quite indifferent. And just imagine how happy it'd make your mother!
ext_7700: (brilliant!)

[identity profile] swatkat24.livejournal.com 2005-01-24 08:46 am (UTC)(link)
Oooh, Snape/Black! I've been really, really thinking of reading this pairing, but haven't gathered enough energy to do so till now. [/lazy]

#21. Remus/Sirius is getting schmoopier by the day, isn't it? I like Remus/Hermione, but it has to be really well done.

Mmmm, Remus/Bellatrix.

'Giant willies'? Ahahaha! Add to that the sudden and mysterious disappearance of balls.

#78. Dude, just go over to FAP and check out the ship names. They'll make you weep.

Dumbbottom. Dumbbottom. Dumbbottom. I like the ring of it.

Swatkat

[identity profile] donnaimmaculata.livejournal.com 2005-01-24 08:55 am (UTC)(link)
Snape/Black was the first pairing I ever read. It drew me in and I will always consider it with fondness as my entry to the wonderful world of fandom.

Remus/Sirius is so irritating because of its omnipresence. It's become impossible to read a fic without mentions of Remus/Sirius as a background pairing or as former lovers.

Heh! Good to see I'm not the only Remus/Bellatrix supporter.

Add to that the sudden and mysterious disappearance of balls.

They disappear in the shadow of the almighty willies!

Dude, just go over to FAP and check out the ship names.

*is very afraid*

Like R/Hr in a way? *g* Plus, the sap. I know their story is angsty, but really...

Good to see I'm not the only Remus/Bellatrix supporter.

Remus/Any Black Sister will do for me. *g*

They disappear in the shadow of the almighty willies!

Ahahaha!

*is very afraid*

Go on. They're worth a look.

Swatkat

[identity profile] donnaimmaculata.livejournal.com 2005-01-24 11:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Like R/Hr, exactly. Strangely, I don't mind R/Hr. But I am fed up with Remus mourning the loss of his lover in every other fic I read, and seeing as I mostly read Remus-Sirius-Severus- centred fics, this has become an ubiquitous feature.

Remus/Andromeda would be interesting. Considering that her daughter's got a crush on him. (Yes, in my universe, everybody's got a crush on Remus. Why?)

Hm. Should I go to look for funny ship names or should I actually get some work done? Dilemma, dilemma.

[identity profile] fernwithy.livejournal.com 2005-01-24 09:07 am (UTC)(link)
82) Is Lucius really 49: Why shouldn't he be?

Er, doesn't the Prophet say he's 41? Just a couple of years older than the Marauders? I know the DP's not the most journalistically pure newspaper, but I think we can trust them on that...

[identity profile] donnaimmaculata.livejournal.com 2005-01-24 09:15 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, right. Thank you. I didn't remember what the prophet said and assumed that the meme creator got it right. I am not terribly interested in Lucius, as you can see from my complete ignorance regarding his vital dates.

[identity profile] fernwithy.livejournal.com 2005-01-24 09:18 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not, either. I just did a Sorting fic and had to think about the relative ages of the various people. Maybe the meme writer was asking if Lucius could be some age other than what the DP listed?

[identity profile] donnaimmaculata.livejournal.com 2005-01-24 09:21 am (UTC)(link)
Hm. Maybe. Or it was a trick question to check whether people paid any attention at all. It makes sense to make him five years older than MWPP and not 13 years older.

[identity profile] kaysha.livejournal.com 2005-01-24 12:47 pm (UTC)(link)
But he's soooooooooo sexy!!! :P

And I think his age depends on if we're talking about book-present or actual present. (?!) I'm just a bit too lazy to calculate his current age right now..

[identity profile] kaysha.livejournal.com 2005-01-24 01:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay, shouldn't have mentioned it - now I just had to solve that puzzle (duh!)..

September 1995 to June 1996 -- Fifth year (Order of the Phoenix)¹
Lucius is 41 in OotP.

Now we have (the school year of) 2004/05, that's.. 9 years later. Which'd make him.. 50? But maybe 49 would work as well? (Depending on when his bday is??) Baaah, maths!

¹shamelessly copied from this comment by [livejournal.com profile] gehayi

[identity profile] donnaimmaculata.livejournal.com 2005-01-25 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
Oh dear. Maths. You know, most of the time, I completely ignore the fact that the narrative present of HP is set some ten years ago. I view it as "contemporary". I haven't even thought so far as to try to establish how old they'd be now. For me, they're as old as the books tell me they are. (Which is much better, seeing as it makes Remus just the right age for me.)

Depending on when his bday is

He's Leo, isn't he? The pride, the self-centredness, the prancing, the lush mane.

Maybe Rowling will tell us one day. After the series is completed, she should set up a book with all biographies, because otherwise the fandom will implode if the vital data of major characters (Remus, Lucius, Kingsley) remain unknown forever.

[identity profile] dementedsiren.livejournal.com 2005-01-24 10:40 am (UTC)(link)
38) Fanfiction Pet Peeves: MasterShagger!Teenagers *applauds*

If I read one more fic where Draco and/or Harry, Hermione, Ginny, Ron, Seamus or fricking Colin Creevey are masters of the sexual act, I will poke my eyes out with a dull spork.

They are 16, for chrissakes. And while I can safely say there are sexually accomplished and inquisitive 15/16/17yr olds, none of them are automatically the best thing in bed since the creation of battery-powered self-stimulation.

And don't even get me started on "first times are perfectly wonderful with no aches, pains, or misplacement of bodily fluids" fics. Gr.

(thank you for this perfect rant opportunity - I read a fic like that this past weekend and it pushed my buttons repeatedly on this issue)

[identity profile] donnaimmaculata.livejournal.com 2005-01-24 11:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah, see - as I focus mainly on the older generation, I don't encounter MasterShagger!Colin et al very often. But if I do, I find it very offputting.

none of them are automatically the best thing in bed since the creation of battery-powered self-stimulation.

Heh! One could argue whether battery-powered self-stimulation or a nekkidflusteredsweaty teenager is a better thing to have in bed *g*

Personally, I am a big fan of misplaced body fluids. I am also a supporter of non-swallowing and the resulting dilemma of who's to sleep in the wet spot and of itching because of sweat. You could say, my kinks are rather... mundane.

Rant ahead. That's what LJ is for.

[identity profile] shocolate.livejournal.com 2005-01-24 12:16 pm (UTC)(link)
14) Canon/fanon Draco: I ignore fanon!Draco and dislike canon!Draco.

Hurrah! Nasty, selfish, cowardly little ferret.

[identity profile] donnaimmaculata.livejournal.com 2005-01-25 12:06 am (UTC)(link)
Hah! I wouldn't mind the "selfish" bit so much, if he wasn't so whiny. And so obsessed with Harry. His reaction to any trouble is to go and tell Daddy, how pathetic is this?
