For fic-writing purposes, I need to learn as much as I can about everyday life in public schools in Edwardian England. Does anyone happen to have a link or a book recommendation handy? It would be most helpful and might result in porn.

George Orwell wrote a terrific essay about his days as a schoolboy, which was during the Edwardian period: "Such, Such Were the Joys."

You could also try Robert Graves Good Bye To All That and Gavin Maxwell's The House of of Elrigg which both include chapters about their school days. Though strictly speaking Maxwell is a little later than the Edwardian period.

Robert Graves sounds like someone I should read in any case. Thanks for the rec!

Oh yes definitely! Goodbye To All That is a classic. And I can also highly recommend MIranda Seymour's biography of Graves. There's no doubt that he was immensely talented but he had a very, very odd life.
