I love my car. I love driving. My mind wanders freely and comes up with interesting ideas of all sorts. Ideas for new fics, for example. Last night, a perfect little scenario - inspired by a film I watched before - for Snape/Harry sprang to mind. Perfect, I thought, as soon as I'll arrive, I will write it down in a nice little ficlet that it promises to be. Unfortunately, the scenario wasn't entirely suited for Snape, who morphed into Lupin midway. And now I'm stuck: I really want to write the fic, but it starts out as Snarry and turns into Larry. I could change it, of course, but I'm very pleased with the dialogues as they are. What now? Write it nevertheless, cheerfully ignoring the fact that Snape behaves like Lupin? Include both, Snape and Lupin? Write two versions, one with Snape and one with Lupin?

Ohhh, nothing against (ohmigod) Larry, but it'd be mucho mas better if you included both Snape AND Lupin in your ficlet. *yum yum*

There's nothing wrong Lupin/Harry (I refuse out of principle to use Larry, sorry). Sounds like a fun story-- Lupin can be snarky, if you don't want to change the dialogue. Think of the bit in PoA when Lupin's insult writes itself on the map.

I'm sure Severus and Remus will settle the matter among themselves. I'm waiting for them to share their decision with me.

I think that's what I'll do. But then, it'll al end up as Snape/Lupin instead of Snape/Harry. Not that I'm opposed to it, mind you.

LOL I am surprise at the strong negative reactions to "Larry".I've never used it before (never seen it being used, either) but it is a logical acronym for this pairing, as horrible as it might be... *g*

It's not so much snarkiness I've got to include, but violence. Snape throws Harry down and rips his clothes off him (in a non-sexual context; yes, it can be done *g*). I just don't see Remus do it.

They might both have to be there. Not the worst solution, I dare say.

Mhmm.. Gibt es eigentlich einen englischsprachigen, in dem sich (auch) LJ Mitglieder treffen oder so? (Jetzt abgesehen von IRC, denn mIRC hat bei mir Troubles verursacht und deswegen hab ich's wieder deinstalliert. Hab mich eh nicht wirklich damit ausgekannt und das hat mich genervt. ;))

Ohhh, und hier warten immer noch D'Artagnan Pics auf Dich (hehe). Weiss nach wie vor nicht, welcher Musketier Dir nun am besten gefällt!

Ich hab' keine Ahnung. Ich weiß von ein paar Leuten, die Y!M nutzen, aber mein alter Computer kam mit keinem Chatprogramm zurecht, und auf dem neuen habe ich noch nichts installiert. Ich bin unglaublich unbewandert, was das anbetrifft.

Ah, die Musketiere! Ich weiß genau, welcher Buch-Musketier mir am besten gefällt, denn das war definitiv Athos. Und er war nicht fett, sondern tragisch(TM). And die Serie erinnere ich mich nur vage - eher emotional als intellektuell, wenn Du verstehst, was ich meine *g*

The point is, the fic starts out as a typical Snape/Harry confrontation scene, as seen at the end of the Worst Memory chapter. But then, there is this dialogue, where Snape would have to be all calm and understanding. It doesn't work. I so see Lupin in that moment.

I won't write a Snarry. I will write Snape, Lupin, Harry with hardly any sex going on, and when, among the adults. Yes. Who need shagging anyway?

I think I'll settle for Snape/Lupin, though. Maybe with a hint of fluff? I've been treating Remus very, very badly lately, he deserves some niceness for a change.

Oh, I dunno... Lupin's tough-- a man's got his patience and all that. What if it's the day before a full moon? Though I must agree, a Snupin-Harry sandwich would be pretty yummy. And possibly your best bet for keeping everyone in-character.

I've decided to include all three of them in the fic and make it Snape/Lupin in the end. Possibly fluffy.
