Can you smell come*?
Jun. 5th, 2013 01:03 pmThe linden trees in front of my house are in full bloom, and all I can think of is this:
*I can't bring myself to spell it "cum". I wonder how Mitchell and Webb spell it?

Date: 2013-06-05 01:44 pm (UTC)No, the first time I ever encountered linden trees -- in York, not long after I stepped off the ferry in Hull, on a once-in-a-lifetime (so far) vacation with my family -- my eyes were swelling and my nose was both running and hopelessly congested. Luckily a nice chemist found some decent remedies for me.
It's a pity, because they smell BEAUTIFUL. Just as lilacs do. Which also give me the same reaction, as I discovered when I was nine.
Oh, btw, a long-established BDSM/erotica/erotic romance publisher in the US (founded over 20 years ago by a person I know well) insists on the spelling "come".

Congratulations on your book deal, btw! I saw your latest post, but seeing as I'm currently working against the clock and an impeding deadline, I haven't got round to commenting.
