I've developed this vague concept that scars are important to remind one of what one's been through, you know? Being hurt time and again without any visible traces is sort of like having all bad memories erased from one's mind.
Ah yes. Believe me, having spent a great deal of time writing Wolverine (in X-Men movieverse), I am completely conversant with this whole thing, as he actually *has* had his memories erased, and he's a superhealer, so he doesn't scar - or, rather, instead of scars he's got adamantium welded to his skeleton, which is what gives him the claws - and it's a source of great angst that he can't remember who he was and how it happened etc., and he spends a lot of time angsting about his past blah blah blah.
So I like thinking Remus does scar, or at the least, he can scar himself. But then again, it is a magical condition, so who knows?
