The Christmas Invasion

I finally watched Doctor Who: The Christmas Invasion and would like to say something insightful, but I can't think of anything. I can think of a couple of shallow things to say, though:

What did they kill the hot Major Blake for? I mean, how pretty was he? He should have stuck around to be the contact person for Torchwood and flirt with Captain Jack as soon as the project kicks off. Bad RTD.

David Tennant. It's such a shame. I could really love him madly, and he just so happens to be pretty much my type, what with the dark eyes and pointy cheekbones and the healthy skinniness (I bet he's got delightful collarbones), and I really like the hair and the mouth - but his propensity to emphasise the mania by raising his eyebrows and opening his eyes wide grates on my nerves. Act more with your mouth, David.

I can totally see why he was cast as Casanova. Not that I've ever seen it, but my mind reliably supplies the relevant images.

Apparently there's an interview knocking around where DT comes out, too... (bi, I think, he used to live with a woman unless he was lying then!) If true, that would just about make him perfect in my book.

Aw. Perfect indeed. He also said, allegedly, that after a second glass of wine, anyone could have him. Now this is an attitude I like in a man.

Maybe they went to the same acting school? David's very cute nevertheless, especially as he's unconscious and thus doesn't open his eyes for most of The Christmas Invasion. *is superficial*

All I know of David (other than HP) is from the "bouncy" icons I've seen in various places. Cute, yes, I won't argue that.

I'm proud to be superficial. It's what's fangirling is all about. (At least the fun parts.)

I didn't know David before, either, and, as I loved Christopher Eccleston's Doctor, didn't expect to be impressed. But he really is delicious and very, very sweet, if one can overlook the eyes thing.
