First, there were [livejournal.com profile] mctabby's Summary Executions. Then, there was my comment on the latest batch. And then, [livejournal.com profile] ficbymarks said, "I bet if you stuck all these sentences as a fic up on death-curse or ff-net, you'd get a lot of good feedback."

Summary: Many decades after Voldemort's death, Draco remembers.
Warning: heavy Draco angst.

Darkness slowly emerges like a shadow creeping forward towards a setting, blood-red sun. Draco Malfoy, age 180, has a terrible curse on him from when he was sixteen.

"I tell you a tale, Of a suicide pact," he says. "Two twin vampires by the names of Kara and Trace are sent to live with the Dursleys thirsting for Potter's blood .. After being bitten by a Vampire, Harry becomes a vampire. There is a new power taking over the Wizarding World." Draco was grey, in every sense of the word, from his mood, to his physicality, deep in his soul. You hide a man of his nature behind the most simply elegant face you'll see and he'll be in your heart, poison your mind.

He continues, "Flaming vampire turns Hermione to a life of darkness. Ginny disappears into the Forbidden Forest, and turns up weeks later with a new friend -- a vampyre. Blood always so thirstily weaves its way through people's lives...crueler than the grave, regret, or contrition, it seeps, flooding everywhere. Lord Voldemort is dead. A vampiress who eats regular food might hold the key to the future... All will bow down before Anne the Bloody, or perish. She had been thrashed, slashed, cut, and sliced as she tried her hardest to get back to the castle. I watch her everyday, the river of scarlet trickling down her arm. One person can save her from the most unhumman doom but will he? During a dentention with Slytherin Vamp Sarah, Snape learns that biting is fun! But this vamp seems to be alright. Only when consumed by the darkness of night does he realize how quickly the blood of others trickles down his skin and seeps into him. My own blood a rusty copper contrast, her succulent red only more beautiful beside it. Some say it's a mericle but not him. sometimes being powerful isn't all that its cracked up to be. not being able to dye easily isn't great either." Draco falls silent. He lost his love the day the curse started and since then he's been suicidle and sick, but nothing can kill him. where will he go and will fate ever give him a brake?

The End

Data used: The batches XVI to XIX of [livejournal.com profile] mctabby's Summary Executions. I isolated sentences or sentence fragments - like subordinate clauses or appositions - mixed them and created a, for lack of a better word, story. I never used two sentences from the same summary in sequence. The only phrases added by me are 'he says', 'he continues' and 'Draco falls silent', because damn summaries don't offer any phrases to introduce direct speech. I also kept the originals' spelling and punctuation. The summary and warning, however, are mine.

Is this what you were thinking of, [livejournal.com profile] ficbymarks?

'succulent' was part of the sentence I used, so it's hardly my merit *g*

My only merit is that I submitted myself to careful reading and evaluating of the summaries. Made my brain hurt.

I'd love to read that sentence in a fic one day, in exactly the context as featured in your icon.

Parts of it read almost like a Norse saga. What a conglomeration- great job gluing it all together! I hope you'll keep us updated on whatever "OMG I luv this story!!11! I cn't wait 2 find out what hapens 2 Dray!" reviews you garner on ff.net! :)

I'm not familiar with the Norse saga, alas, but I can imagine what you mean. Gluing it together was much easier than I expected - the vampire theme begged to be used.

I will definitely flaunt</> mention reviews, should I get any.

Oh, beautiful! I really like their art, it's so over-the-top, yet stylish.

As the partially undressed young man in my icon is the best proof of.

Heh! Thanks! That was surprisingly easy. The summary suppliers have done an excellent job.

This was exactly what I meant. Hee!

He lost his love the day the curse started and since then he's been suicidle and sick, but nothing can kill him. where will he go and will fate ever give him a brake?

What a sad ending. *cries crocodile tears*

The ending made me very sad, too. Bad, bad vampyres! What they did to poor Draco is so horrid!
